This is clear cut case of human rights voilation by Uttarakhand Police. Where is National Commision for Women and National Human Rights Commission?

This is to complaint about the Police harassment with the above given victims. The above mentioned victims went to the lalkuan police chowki on October 6,2008 regarding the arrest of their family member Deepak Gupta and other social activists by the local police in a fake case. Few other social activists gathered there to demand the release of 4 arrested people. People were manhandled by the local police and brutally lathicharged. There were number of women protesters including these three victims, however no policewomen were deployed to deal with these protesters. Victims were badly handled by the male police men, which is clearly seen from the photographs published in different news papers and other photographs in my custody. Media reports also suggest that human rights of the victim has been violated by the policemen/accused persons. It is pertinent to mention here that it is general feature of Uttarakhand police.
In the circumstances described here in above it is humbly prayed that the accused police men may be punished and DGP Uttarakhand be called upon to check the violation of human rights of these victims in particular and in general violation of human rights.
